Understanding the Ordering & Shipping Process: Our Auto Parts Sales office is located in Pennsylvania, which is Eastern Standard Time (EST.).  You can place your orders via the Internet, telephone, email, fax or by US Mail.  Our sales phone lines are open Monday - Friday 10a.m. - 6p.m. EST. 

When an order is processed over the internet, a sales person in PA must physically review it before releasing it for shipping (This can take anywhere from 10 minutes - 60 minutes).   Next it is cleared for sending and the order is printed in the appropriate warehouse.  Next, the parts have to be pulled off of the shelves in that warehouse, sorted, safety wrapped, boxed, addressed for shipping and loaded onto a truck for final delivery. 

Sales Tax

Pennsylvania residents have a 6% sales tax -  due to the fact that our sales office is located in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania.  PA residents can apply online or by calling us if you are a PA resident or business, give us your PA State Tax ID #, and you to can enjoy no sales tax.

Sales Out of the United States

Simply place your order via the telephone (888) 405-4151 or via email.  Orders must be paid via Money Order or a Certified Bank Check.  When that clears, orders will be shipped.  No credit cards from banks located outside of the United States will be accepted.  Call for freight charges. 

Returns

You must first request a Return Authorization Number prior to returning any item/s. We will refund or replace any defective item and most non-defective items within 30 days of receipt of your order.  However, we reserve the right to charge a restocking fee of up to 20% of the order, and/or charge for freight. You may return products that:

• Are in their original packaging and resalable
• Have the original manufacturer information
• Are not used, installed, or disassembled
• Are not damaged due to incorrect installation
• Do not having missing parts, hardware or instructions

Special Note to Hawaii and Alaska customers: Freight on ALL orders, cores and returns are the responsibility of the consumer, regardless of fault, damage, core, mispackaging, catalog error, pricing error, etc.  

The following orders are not returnable:

• Orders older than 30 days

Shipping, Returns & Tax Policy

• Please email us, call us or fax us regarding any returns.  We will authorize a Return Authorization Tag (RA) if applicable, and mail it to you so you can attach it to the items to return.
• Upon receipt of parts, we will inspect, and if all guidelines from above are met - a full refund will be issued.  A restocking fee of up to 20% may be charged. 
• Shipping costs will be returned only in instances where the return is a result of our error.
• All applicable sales tax will be reissued as well.
• C.O.D. shipments will not be accepted.
• Items incorrectly shipped to Steeringrack.com will not be accepted for return.
• Items not purchased from Steeringrack.com will not be accepted for return.
• Shipping charges are estimates and may be modified after checkout.  In the event that there is a modification, we will ALWAYS notify you via email and give you the option to approve or disapprove the shipping charge change.
• Tax charges may also be modified after checkout.  Our sales office is located in PA - if you are a PA resident a 6% sales tax may apply.  If you are tax exempt (repair facility, car dealership, auto parts store, etc.) please fill out our tax exempt form on the home page, give us a call or send us an email to become tax free in PA.

Core Returns
If you would like to return an item associated with a core return value, please submit your request through our Returns form. Please note:

• All fluids must be drained from the core
• The core must be securely wrapped in plastic and sealed
• Cores must be returned in the packaging used in the shipment of the order sent to you
• Your core will be inspected to determine if the core is rebuild-able
• Core return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. These are not refundable. NOTE* You may purchase a Return Shipping Label from us and avoid some of the hassle of returning your core.

Damaged Products
If your product has been damaged in shipment, please complete our form at Returns within 24 hours of receipt of your product to begin the returns process. We'll then contact you via email with further instructions on filing your claim.

Refunds

We will issue a full refund for any returned products when your return meets the above requirements. The cost of shipping will be credited only in those instances where the return is a result of our error.  If you are uncertain while looking up a part, please call one of our parts specialists to answer any questions you may have. If you look up a part incorrectly, you will only be able to return it if all of  the above applies, and you may incur a shipping charge as well as a 20% restocking charge.  Also, please remember that the returns process involves reshipping, inspecting and sometimes testing of the returned items.  Credit back to your account may take 5 - 30 days from receipt of the item(s) from you.  PLEASE TAKE YOUR TIME WHILE LOOKING UP PARTS OR CALL US IF YOU ARE UNSURE ABOUT ANYTHING.

Steeringrack.com guarantees the workmanship of the products sold. If you have received a defective product, please review the manufacturer information included with your new product. If you wish to return it, please contact our sales team for more information.
